bleeding gator cooling system

I'm havin problems gettin the coolant in my 620 xuv to circulate. It has a coolant bypass heater in it, and it was filled using the cap in the line at the heater core (the high point of the system). Any advice or links to past threads would be appreciated.

Like the kawasaki mule with the same engine, i think, you need to elevate the front end slightly while filling. this would not be on just adding, but filling to capacity if the whole system has been drained. if it was just a little low you would not need to elevate.

I had to fill mine shortly after I bought it. The factory didn't connect a coolant hose and I lost a lot of antifreeze. Problem is I don't remember all the steps and don't have the book with me tonight. I do know you fill the tank, get it up to operating temp, remove the cap under the bed to bleed air, add as necessary. I don't remember if you remove the cap when it is hot or wait until it cools. It does take a while because you have to let it cool completely before trying it again. Mine belched out a lot of antifreeze all over the engine. I'll check back tomorrow evening to see if someone has gotten you the exact procedure. If not I'll check the book and let you know what it says. I do know it doesn't say anything about elevating the front of the machine.

Well, it's finally circulating. Heater hoses and radiador both warmed up nicely and fan cycled on and off several times. What a contrary process.
