A lot of us have complained about the quality of the oem blades on the 1046, myself included. Plus, Gator apparently does not make a replacement.
I finally found an aftermarket blade set. They cost about the same as the oem's but what a difference in quality. They're made of some type of "XHT" material.
All I can say is that when I compared them to the stock blades, these are MUCH thicker, heavier, and make a totally different sound when they're cutting.

p.s. for those of you with other size cutting decks, they do sell the Gator, and something called a Predator, which is supposedly even better than the Gator and made with the same XHT steel. Plus customer service on the phone was excellent.
