I have about a quarter mile of driveway to maintain and was wondering about getting a blade or a box blade. I was thinking of 8ft in length and wasn't sure what would hold up on a tractor this big.

You say that you are maintaining. The best implement in my opinion for maintaining a drive is neither of the implements that you have asked about. A land plane grading scraper (LPGS) is the best , easiest implement to use for road maintenance.

There many manufacturers of these, the link is only an example. For your tractor, probably a 7 footer that weighs at a minimum of 1000lbs and the heavier the better. I would look for the sides to be no less than 16" tall. Mine (pictured) are 22".

Once you have gone over the drive, you can decide what other implements may help you in the future. I maintain over 2 miles of roads and fence lines, I have several different implements for working on these areas. My go to implements are my LPGSers. I have a 7' at 1400lbs and a 5' for my smaller tractor at about 800lbs.

As far as sizes for the implements that you asked about, an 8' for a rear blade, and a 7' for a box blade. Again as heavy as you can afford.

I would go with Brian recommendations for weight but I'd be looking at an 8 foot blade. Don't even bother looking at anything from tractor supply. Be prepared to spend close to 2k for a good heavy boxblade.

I'm looking for recommendations for both but will buy the box blade first

Either of what I linked to are more than enough for your tractor. You are looking at north of $3500 for either unit though. My RBT45108 works pretty good with my 12,000lb tractor.
