Branson 4720H / BL200 Loader
Hi All,

I noticed an extra plug on the left side of my loader's joystick control. It currently has a factory installed plug in it.

Some members have commented about "power-beyond" ports / valves, and having a "3rd function" capability in their loader controls. Do we as Branson owners have this??? Or is it available as an add-on?

I bought my tractor w/o rear remotes (I know - Dumb of me...), and would like to someday add a grapple to my list of must-haves. I'm looking for a cost effective way to add / control the additional hydraulics.

Thoughts and experiences???

I'm not sure about the joy stick but to get power to the rear of the tractor there are two connections on the right side just above the axle. If you look at it, it has a figure 8 block off fitting on it. You remove this and buy metric fittings to go into the two holes. One hole is pressure the other is return.
I bought a Jinma Backhoe cheap for my 3510 and connected to these outlets. I put a pressure relief between the two hoses for my own piece of mind. IIRC the fittings, short hoses and relief valve cost me about $100.

Good Information!

Anyone else out there in "Branson-Land" want to take a stab at this???

Thanks,

I would love to see a photo of this some time when you get a chance. Also do you remember which was pressure and which was return? I imagine if I asked my dealer he would tell me, but I know he would rather sell me the $750 kit!

Cheers,

Dale

Here is pics of the remote hook up. The top/front fitting is the pressure, the bottom is the return. You can see the relief valve in the circuit. It is just laying on the rear axle. I keep them plugged in when not in use as you always should.

I wish my PTO shield still had that nice squared look instead of the crunched indented thing I have around my pto. Am I the only person to have flipped their boxblade on top of itself?

Stimw, once you tapped into that area of the tractor did you have to install a hydro control valve or was one already on the tractor?

I noticed on my 4720 I have a cutout on the right side bellow my seat and was wondering if that's where a lever should be sticking through like the others on each sides of my seat.

I wanted to save some money and install rear remotes aswell but didn't understand the entire set-up. Thanks for your help.

I put the hydraulic lines on to run a backhoe so I don't have any valves that are not on the hoe. The two hyd connections come from the factory with a figure 8 connector, pressure out and then back in.
What do you plan to use the valves for? That will determine how you hook it up.

Well, in the future I'm planning on buying a backhoe but for now I want to install a hydraulic arm (in place of my threaded 3rd member) for my box blade. It's a little hilly where I'm at and changing the angle of my box blade without getting off the tractor would make life alot easier and faster.

Thanks for your last answer.
