Box Scraper Bison Box Blade + width ??s

I've got a Tl100a 4wd and was quoted on a Bison BB210-A box blade with hydraulically controlled scarifiers. First has anyone got an opinion on the Bison for quality and are the hydraulics as handy as they look?

Also it's 7 feet wide and that just covers the width of the tractors tires. I originally thought 8 feet would give a little clearance but am curious if anything wider than the tires adds anything?

no clue on "bison" never heard of them.

hydraulically controlled scar bar is a nice feature. (that I still lack...)

If you can pull the 8' box, it would be able to make shorter work of the jobs. Difficult part is that extra width comes at a lower weight per linear ft of cutting edge. A HD box should be in the 150-200 pounds per ft range. My 66" box is about 900-950# and it could still be heavier for hard soils! You have to balance things. If you have hard clay, 7' may be better than 8'. If you have sandy or loam soils, 8' is probably better.

Unless you have tight places to get into go for the 8'. That way you can get up close to things without rubbing the tires. Bison makes very well made heavy duty blades. I wish there was a dealer in my area.
