On foxnews this morning, the babe broadcaster mentioned that Bill Maher said "something unbelievable" on his show last night, but they would tell the specifics until it had been confirmed. Did anyone watch politically incorrect last night?

Occasionally something worthwhile is intelligently discussed on the show, I couldn't look at it anymore after his references to being the Guard or Reserves being tantamount to draft dodging.

A lot of idiotic things have come out of his mouth, he should at least check the WWII death lists.

There is EVADING the draft and AVOIDING the draft, definitely not the same thing. If anything, the thousands whose mommies and daddies paid for them to remain in college up to 1971 were a lot closer to EVADING (in spirit) then AVOIDING the draft.

By his standards you were a probably also a coward unless you VOLUNTEERED for ground duty in Vietnam. I followed my Dad's trail into the Navy.

I'm surprised after a couple of his comments about the Guard or Reserves that more of his sponsors didn't jump ship.

Bingo!! You hit the nail on the head. Guys like him just don't get it.

I avoided the draft in '68 by joining the Naval Reserves. Had to do 2 yrs active duty during that time. I lost a few friends and my brother went over in late '65 with the Big Red One. He sent back live tapes of what was going on and it didn't sound like fun. Most of the guys I know that went over told their friends to find an alternative if they could.... I chose the Navy Reserves and do not regret it at all.

It sure seem to me that the show is misnamed and that it really should be "Politically Correct." I watched the show when it first came on and the show's name seemed to be a lie. And then they get these idiot actors who don't know squat but who get run their mouths just because they are in TV/Radio/Movies.

It seems like alot of the guests are from Jerry Springer.....

Maybe I saw the wrong shows....

I thought the show was a good idea but it really disappointed me and I quite wasting my time watching.

I too detest Maher and will not watch his show. BUT!! I think there is merit in his comment. Not from our view but from the view of our oponents.

The American value of human life is well known around the world. We have no stomach for war casualities. This hurts us around the world and invites terrorism attacks. The Musilim world values edged weapons to this day. It's no accident knives were used on 11 Sept. To use a knife- sword or what ever- is the mark of a man. Our use of stand off weapons is seen as our fatal weakness. This is the very reason we MUST use special opps. assets. The ability and will to close and destroy the enemy will bring far more respect than lobbing a few Tomahawks and calling it a day. It will produce American casualities and we must be ready for that.

I find it amazing that these pin head actors think that their opinion matters. Keep in mind that these people only act and say exacrly what the script calls for. Not exactly deep thinkers.
Bill is quite the loser, and tends to piss me off also.

Therefore, I vote with my remote...... I don't watch that trash.

People still don't see the fact that the guard and reserve troops phones start ringing quicker every time something happens. Who do you think started flying misions over the Nations Capitol minutes after the tragedies occured? Who is doing a fair share of the missions over Iraq and around the world? Yes, these are "weekend warriors", but more and more they are becoming "daily avengers". A few times I packed a bag, kissed the wife and kids then left home (birthdays, holidays, etc.). I was a full time military reservist and am now just a "weekend warrior". I find comments like his to be highly offensive, but I just write them off to ignorance (jackashness).

The Vt. Air National Guard has been flying around the clock since the 12th. Every hour and a half an F-16 passes over the house headed in a southwest direction. I am told by people I know from the 6 yrs. that I spent there ,that they are flying racetracks in the Albany NY. area. It seems that they are the only outfit with intercept capability left in northern New England , Ny..
