Popped a hydraulic line when digging in some mud today... fluid sprayed about 20 feet so I shut it down immediately. I think it is the line that controls the main lift mechanism.... the one inside the boom. I'll find out for sure tomorrow after scraping off enough mud to look around.

Has anyone attempted to change that hydraulic line out in the field? I didn't see an easy way to get to the fittings on that line since they seem to be enclosed within the boom. Do I need to take out the pivot pins and remove the whole cylinder?

Why don't things break in nice clean areas... or at least dry?
