Kubota L3010 & D3 $ Oliver Super 55
I can't praise the service that I just recieved from Steve Carver and Carver Equipment enough. Those boys have got thier $&*# together. I bought a new L3010 w/backhoe and loader from Carver a little over a year ago. About a week or so ago I had a front loader bucket seal go out. The head of the cylinder had cracked. I was working out in the middle of nowhere (85 miles from home) where I have 40 acres of land. I took the cylinder off and brought it to a Kubota dealer in town. I didn't want to hassle the warranty issue so I told them I would pay for the repair out of pocket. I was called later with a price of $80.00 for parts plus labor. A couple of days later I was called an told that the part was on back order for 3 weeks but that I could get the cylinder for $200.00 plus shipping and that would take a few days. I decided to pick up the part and send Carver Equipment an e-mail to see if they could help me out. This is what Steve Carver e-mailed me back, on a Sunday no less, - "Steve I regret you have a leaking cylinder problem. I regret more that you didn't just email me (first) about the leak. You would have already been "up and going". Please give us the opportunity to serve you first - in the future -- we'll do all we can to make "life as easy as possible". The letter went on to tell me in detail what to do. I was not by my computer for a few days so I had not gotten the email (my fault). So Steve Carver had his Service Manager give me a call to find out if I needed the L/H or R/H cylinder and to confirm the ship to address. I recieved the cylinder the next day. Thank You Steve Carver and Carver Equipment. Oh, by the way, I'm 3,000 miles away from Dunn, North Carolina and Carver Equipment.

Thanks for posting the experience. It illustrates what I was saying in an earlier post: It's far more important to buy from a good dealer than it is to buy from a local dealer. If the local dealer is a good one, that's the best - if not, a remote good one is still the best bet.

Yep, from what I've seen Carver is hard to beat. And I just sent some fairly lengthy e-mail questions to him last night and had a response back first thing this morning.

Bird - I hope it was about all that hydraulic tilt, bevel , incline, decline, rotate, top link stuff you are planning for the 3ph. Let us know how it goes.

McCallum, that was the topic, all right, and Steve answered some questions, but I was hoping they had installed tip 'n tilt on a B2710 (or B2910) and could tell me specifically which valve and cylinders they used, length of hoses, fittings, etc., and thought if I got real lucky maybe they could put together a "kit" for me so all I'd have to do is the installation, but no such luck. He said they haven't done any on the B models. I'm reasonably confident that I can round up all the necessary components within 75 miles of home, but it'll take several days and have to visit several businesses, etc.
