Trust me I've made my share of stupid decisions over the years but best move I ever made was buying land years ago instead of a big house in a plan. We love having the room and all things outdoors. I put a little video together of our 2016 Year in review. Many pics from our place and our travels this past year. (watch in 1080 for best quality)

Great video. You are a lucky man to be surrounded with such beautiful ladies! Oh, yeah, the scenery was ok too.

Cool video, looks like a good year. I really like the Yellowstone and Teton pictures. We have a lot of the same toys. Here is one on mine.

Looks like enough fun for 3-4 years! Loved the pics, very nice. May next year be equally as rewarding.

The young man in many of the pictures is my oldest son. He has Autism and is non verbal. He is my number one firewood helper. Hardest working guy I ever knew. For real. If you have a bunch of rounds ready to split you better plan on working till they are all done. He will not stop throwing rounds on the splitter for me till their all gone lol.

Sometimes people ask how I like our jeep, I say it's my favorite vehicle we ever had. They say is it good on mileage? I say nope, Is it real comfortable? I say nope, Does it ride real nice? I say nope. But none of that matters for some reason cause we just love it lol.

We managed to buy in what was the country and is now becoming city. As the city encroaches, the values are going up. Its great if you plan to sell it. We plan to keep it. In fact my young son has asked that we never sell it. He wants it.

We are in the same position, We plan on staying put but I must admit you see some of the prices of land around here now it's tempting lol. Sell here and buy double or triple the acreage a little farther north

Thanks, Goldens are great aren't they? How old is yours?
They are great, and I'm not bias :D That photo was his glamor shot... 8 years ago. He's ~10 y.o., a rescue so not really sure. Barley Joe Tater was exhausted from opening gifts yesterday...

We recently added another 40 acres to ours. The new piece goes all the way down to the river with 385ft of frontage. So now I get to figure out how to manage riparian habitat!

The way the boundaries are deeded, the parcel is on both sides of so actually includes the river. But in my experience, all free-flowing water belongs to the gubmint. No mention of it in the deed.

Very happy to "have" it.
