what will be the scheduled maintence hours intervals on a new bx2200? i would want a 60" mmm and a 60" rear blade to mow 3 acres of flat ground and clear snow from a 20'x80' driveway. Thankyou.

According to the dealer, tractor manual, and others, your first major service is 50 hours. That is for all fluids and filters. Cost is over $100 because of the expense of the super UDT hydraulic fluid.

I do all my own service. I change oil and filter at 50 hour intervals. You probably could go 100 if not a dusty environment. The transmission oil change and filter is after breakin--I think it was 100 hours?? and then you are good to go for a long time. The transmission oil change was a bit of a pain but nothing diffucult. Just the filler hole is hard to get to. I have had my BX now for 3 years---that is it--oh--sharpen the blades. My 2410 has been even better. You will need a good grease gun for the MMM and FEL. If you have a problem and I doubt you do it want be anything your friendly local neighborhood Spiderman cannot handle. J

Just bought the supplies to do my first 50 hr. service and the total bill (including tax) was $123.31.

My dealer charges $245 for the service (including fluids and filters).

These guys nailed the details just fine. I just thought I'd mention that the maintenance is going to be pretty much the same as any subcompact with HST and a 60" deck. It's not like the BX requires more than a JD .
