Battery Maintainers

/ Battery Maintainers #42
I have seven of the battery tender Jr's and so far all are working great.

I'll second the "Jr" Battery Tenders. I think I have a dozen of them. Leave them plugged in all winter on all my stuff. ZERO battery problems come spring. Saves lots of battery issues. One of the best investments I've made. :)

After the battery is fully charged I use this one, which Northern Tool must not stock any longer:

Product: BatteryMINDer Charger/Maintainer/Desulfator 1.3 Amp, 12 Volt, Model# 12117

I use this one on my batteries that do not have a continuous discharge, such as standby generator, garden tractor, etc. and leave them connected 24 x 7. This charger does not boil out the water in the batteries as the cheaper ones do. I ruined a generator battery using a Schumacker 2 amp trickle charger that apparently boiled the water away. Also same thing with a garden tractor. I ordered 2 more from NT two days ago @ $20 each. Glad I got them at the sale price as I also find they are no longer available there.
