This happened here after tornados of April 27, 2011 left me without power for 7 days. Had to drive 30 miles each way to buy gasoline for generators. Took 3 days for some stations to start pumping. AT&T and others brought in thousands of generators to power landlines and cell towers.

Well, de pay fer part can get a little sticky some places, but more and more lately de gas in ground still belong to distributor who sets pump price remotely, and charges station operator who pays fer electric to pump gas.. Station operator generally pissed cause he could be hittin heavy if his station had generator plug like Red Creek stores, so he don't care, fact is he usually locked place up and sittin home.

Real help yerself gas got rollin back in late 70s when price went over buck a gallon and fellow wid ugly daughter and peanuts created long lines at pumps. Lot of people went self serve at closed stations distributors was storing gas in. Down by Big Rottin Apple guys was runnin couple house basement tanks in back of vans fer a while. Dat went bad when dey figure out 500 gallon of gas weighs bout 2 tons.

(removed) being absolutely honest man has agreement wid station owner. I use stainless half beer barrel and can meter what I pull out widin ounce or 2.

Lot of Owner/Operators got what dey call Okie Credit Card. Little 12 volt pump so dey can transfill from company trucks at truckstops. $50 buy lot of Diesel. QualCom and Elog only compute what engine burns, not what get sucked out of fill plug.

Maybe 15 years back City called Cheekdowaga (s) over by Buffalo dat had gas street lights still went Green happy. Famous Johnson Controls designed & built LED system wit solar collector on top each pole. System gonna keep earth cool like dey need dat over der, and no more gas bill for street lights. Johnson sure dey know what dey doin. Convince politicians and taxpayers. Green thing to do. Save gas to heat houses.

Seem nobody factor in Sun shines over in Cheekdowaga about 18 minutes a day in winter, if it shines. Battery in pole not get charged battery freezes. Even Greenies get pissed in de dark. Dey so pissed poles get falling down. Don't like de ugly blue light when lights do work.

Johnson blames Grote who made thusands of custom LED backup lights. Grote says dey work as ordered, fix solar crap. Tell genius engineer designed 43 volt LED to fix. Johnson got paid and hid out in basement like political candidate.

Sure just like if you bought Gamestop stock hoping for it to go lower, and instead went higher, you have to sell it at the price it is, not what you hoped it to be. I don't see what color you are painting these companies as, has anything to do with poor investment strategy. Ok, i think i get it now. You're thinking "green" companies are run by a bunch o smart people, so they should be smart in everything. Not my experience, but i think i get that broad brush concept.
