Just, remember that there as many ways to build fence as people who build them. Having said that, there are certain things that you have to do in order to build a lasting fence.
To keep deer out, it needs to be at least 7' high, 8' would be a lot better. Also, for deer, electric fence works great. It's faster, cheaper and a whole lot easier on the back than a permanent fence.
