Barn roof insulation

Im done with any kinds of insulation vapor barrier use in barns. Bugs land on it and birds peck at bugs and tear holes. Now days everyone i know places chipboard directly to trusses, tar paper then steel roof

ABC has a product called Rust Trail. My supplier had a sample. She didn't like it which I'm glad because it was heavy. She was really after something that looked old. Had all the patina.

Looks really nice. Are the boards bought already stained or are you doing that yourself before installing them?

What did you use to keep moisture off of the boards that forms under the metal roof panels?

We put insulation under the roof below the purlins. I hope it works. Thats how the customer wanted to do it. I tried to talk them into removing the roof and putting down rolled fiberglass but the didn't want that. The barn laborer stained the pine.

Located in northeast Mississippi and Alexandria, Virginia.
I follow CL almost religiously and "materials" is one of the areas I always look at. I've only seen used metal for sale a few times over the last several years.

Finally finished. Just waiting on the windmill ceiling fans to come in. Purchased new louvers for the cupola fans. Just need painting and then install.
