Ballast/Balance box

Thanks everyone for the advice. I will try to post a picture of it. I am somewhat challenged when it comes to operating the digital camera. I too was planning to fill the bottom 3/4 of the box and use the top half for the tool box. Jim, do you think that it would be a good idea to tie this box into the hitch while still leaving it connected to the 3pt.? Or should I remove it from the 3pt. and anchor it to the hitch and frame only?

I would think using the 3pt is better since the on and off will be much easier.
