B7800 won't start

Hello, I need some help.

My B7800 ran fine the other day but would not start yesterday. It cranks but does not fire up. It kind of acts like the hard-to-start behavior right after I change the fuel filter (which I did a couple months ago).

Short of taking off a hose, is there a way to test the fuel pump? Any other things I should check?

First thing to check is the fuel cut off solenoid..make sure when you turn the key to the on position the solenoid plunger activates..if not check fuses.

I just noticed, in my Kubota parts manual (for L35) solenoid is spelled "selenoid"...selenoid - Wiktionary .. Definition of selenoid

First find it, then make sure it works..it's an actuator. When 12 volts are applied the plunger moves. If no operation, make sure it gets 12 volts with ignition key in on position. If yes, replace solenoid.

If the solenoid is working then your problem is something else.

Then we find out if there is fuel delivery... I'm assuming you checked all fuses..not just looked at them. Test them for continunity.

The next item in line is the fuel pump....if the B7800 has a pump (some are gravity fed)

Actually, I just visually inspected the fuse. I will check continuity tomorrow. I was suspecting the fuel pump but, as you point out, it may not have one. When I disconnect the fuel line at the engine fuel flows readily like it has head.

I need to identify the solenoid. Unfortunately, I cannot find my manual - it is not where it should be.
