B7800 loud squeaking when cold

My 2003 B7800 has a very loud 'sqeak' when I first start up the tractor and back it up. It will only squeak when the tractor is moved, and the squeak coincides with the movement of the tractor. It is worst when backing up. It is the same with the front wheels engaged or disengaged. It is something in the drive train, but cannot pinpoint it. Has anyone had this problem before. I is coming from underneath in the center of the undercarriage. Any ideas would be grateful.

It could be as little as a foreign object that has gotten near your driveshaft for the front axle.

Double - triple check your rear wheel axle bolt(s). The one(s) that you loosen to adjust the wheel in or out further on the axle. They are known to work loose. They do need to be cranked down.....

My dealer puts a lather of grease in there as well..First time I heard it, scared the **** out of me,, thought the whole thing was gonna be broke

Could be a really minor deal. If it's a 4WD, squirt some silicone lubricant into the front driveshaft guard drainhole at the u-joint, and down in the end of the guard.

Chances are this guard has dried up and is rubbing on the driveline. You might be able to loosen the guards clamp and adjust it so it stops rubbing.

Thanks to everyone who replied. Now that spring is here in Alberta, I jacked up the tractor, and found the culprit. The plastic guard around the front driveshaft was causing the awful squeak. A little silicone spray and it was all gone. Thanks for the input.
