B7800 in action!

I went to the Ft. Worth Stock show this weekend and they only had a B7800HSD on display. No B2410, B2710 or B2910. The dealer suspects that they may be phased out. The spec sheet shows that it is basically identical to the B2910. I see that you have the fold down ROP so you have the mid-PTO, it is an option with rigid ROP. The dealer also quoted about $1500 less than the B2910. The demo model was also equipped with a weight box for the FEL (an LA 402). Overall it was a very nice package, although there is no provisions for wheel weigths and it does not have the adjustable lower links like the B2910. It does have a new feature called the quarter inching valve for the three point which is supposed to give you better implement hookup control.
I am sure you will enjoy your machine for many years to come. How about doing a review for the rest of you you might wish to travel the same road you took.

Glad to hear that you were at the Ft. Worth Stock Show, I worked the show all weekend and missed a fellow TBNer right in the booth. We really haven't heard about phasing out the B2410, B2710 or B2910 models, instead I think the plan will be:
basic tractor - B7500HSD
more features - B2410HSD
basic tractor - B7800HSD
more features - B2710HSD
even more features - B2910HSD.
We do have another B7800HSD in our outside booth

My first impression with a few hours seat time this weekend are:
The machine is bigger than I thought. Thank goodness, I listen to my wife and got 12 foot gates everywhere. Some areas of the trail system are going to have to be made wider.
I just feel better when I have room to spare.
The machine has some horse power. It IMHO just feels strong on these trails. I feel I have power to spare.

Yeah, about 29 or so /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif . They get close to 40 horsepower from modern 125cc dirtbikes. Course, I don't think they come with a 3-point. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif . J

Well,
It is spring time! So I am tearing into the trees with the B7800. After an hour, I decide to mow some grass with the YardPro.
Not only does the B7800 ride softer, the power steering is a gift from above.
I take back my post *somewhere* about not using the B for grass cutting. After the darn WORKOUT the YardPro gave me.
Ugh... now I know why people fell in love with the BX series!
I need to post some picks of the clearing the FEL on the B did.
I might do some trails after all.....

The B7800 needed a new home, and listening to Spencer and Henro motivated me. HAH. Darn tractor is approaching a year old sitting outside, so about three months ago "Mike's Pole Barn Project" started.
Don't laugh at the time involved or the lack of tools. I do desk work all day, and have only the bare minimum of w/e time and hardware.
My hardware consists of two step ladders, one circular saw, two hammers, an electric varible speed drill and a shovel. Add to that a measuring tape, a level, lots of string, and not much brain power.
The B7800 makes the clear spot for me and up go the poles.
