B3030 vs L3400

   / B3030 vs L3400 #11
I ended up with an L3400 vs a B3030 or B7800 - which is what I started looking at.

Like you, my application does not include any finish mowing and thus I think that the L3400 was a better bet given the added weight and frame size.

I would not base the L3400 vs. B3030 decision on the up market features - as nifty as they are. Definately be aware of the 3PT valve fix on the L3400 and ask your dealer to make sure the fix is applied before your tractor is delivered.

If the up market features are important to you (electric PTO, telescoping 3PT arms, etc.) I would suggest looking at the L3130 or the L3430 instead of at the B3030.

The big strength of the B3030 is its light weight. If this strenght is a weakness in your application then certainly don't choose against the L3400 just for the few up market features. IMHO. You would be better of moving up to the GRAND L if those are important to you and your budget can afford it.

Just my opinion.
