Yes, wheels are off the ground when installing, but on the ground for minor chain adjustments. I just went out and tried it, and I was able to turn the wheels lock-to-lock. Tractor has been sitting for a couple of days, and the FEL bucket & the rear blade are resting on the concrete floor.

Maybe it's my altitude. :D Or the extra weight of all that glass in your cab. :D

Keep us posted on the spinner knob. Does that one mount via a bolt drilled through the wheel - it looked like a real clean install - didn't see a mounting strap. I kind of like that one. I really like the spinner knobs, until I jamb it into myself. :D

I tried mine again tonight will not turn the wheels on the ground steering wheel turns hard tries to turn the wheels but skips and the steering wheel turns.
Mine must be worn out since yours is a 2008 mine a 2005.

As for the knob you really have to try one , I wouldn't even put one with a big ugly mounting bracket etc. this one is just a band see picture.
All stainless steel , we have to thank ACHINBAC for this one he's on top of these quality stainless steel items.
Here is where I got mine you can find it cheaper if you look around.

Hey Roger,

It looks like she's TRYING to drown you. Adjust one of those streams to hit the little boy's head - that would raise a few eyebrows . .

Nice stone work and plantings. The walk way came out excellent. Next to customising the BX I'd say landscaping comes in a close second for me too. Years ago when we built the house I had grand plans for the grounds. One thing led to another and a lot of those plans were put on hold. Getting the tractor last year was a big motivator for me & I started back in on the stone walls. Most should be finished next year. Will send some pics in the spring when things thaw out.
You fit those stones pretty well Dave, I'll bet, the tractor comes in handy, I know I wish I had mine twenty years ago, all the things I had to do by hand.
You have a nice area there for a little pond get some gold fish put some rocks around.
You have some really nice planting too, grown up just the right size now. You fit those rocks so perfectly it must take you forever.
Somedays I can just go on building a stone wall everything seems to fit and I move right along other times I have to walk away from it cause I'm getting nowhere. But using the bucket of my Kubota sure does help.

When using the B26 I just palm the wheel with or without gloves on and I have complete control and only need one hand.:)
The Gotcha Man

Same here! The PS on my B3030 is WAAAYYY too easy to steer just by palming the wheel

Wax,

Of course every well appointed yard needs a fish pond. I have no closeup new pics, but in the fourth pic you can see the "hidden" pond.

Things do grow fast (including the little one in the bucket who turns 17 in two months). The old picture scans are from back when I really wished I could have afforded a tractor. We were young and just starting out - built the house and did all the landscaping ourselves. I hand dug the pond pit (16' x 8' x 4' deep) and spread 97 yards of loam with a shovel and a wheel barrow. Not to mention carting stones all over the place. Our subsoil is a miserable glacial moraine like hard pan and I would wear out shovels every month or so (it would eat the end of the blades off) my 7' steel bar was my best friend back then.

I love doing the walls but am incredibly slow at it. I don't think I ever set more than 20 face stones in one day. We scrounged all the rock from digging our foundation and from rough grading around the house. No shortage of rocks around here - our part of town is actually called Rock Village on the maps of this area.

Dave

Ps: wished I could have use the strap on the spinner but my wheel's perimeter has flats on it & it wouldn't work - your's looks much cleaner.

Roger,

They're both works in progress - the kids and the yard - and they both grow fast.

You all know how time flies - one minute you're pushing them in a wheel barrow, and the next they're dressed up for the winter prom.

Boy do I feel old tonight looking at these ancient pics!

Dave
