B3000/B3030 LED Headlight BUlb ?

Hi All !

Has anyone with a B3000 or B3030 replaced the OEM Headlight bulb with a LED bulb?

I don't know the exact bulb number of the OEM Bulb, but hope someone has replaced theirs already.

I think the stock bulb is a A-3603.

Thank you for the info. I should be able to find a compatible LED bulb armed with that info.

That bulb looks like a dual filament and is supposed to be a 25/25 watt.

So it "should" have a high beam and a low beam setting on the tractor.

But I'll be darned if I know how to switch between low beam and high beam on the B3000.

Thanks for that link. I did read it, but the link to the 80 wat bulbs he mentioned was no good ay longer.

Those sounded like they would be a good choice.

The other link show a bulb that doesn't look like the same base.

But at least I know there are bulbs out there.

I guess I didn't read into it deep enough. I'm interested in upgrading my B2650 bulbs as well so I'll do some looking around too.

If you Google P15d-25-1 bulb or A3603 bulb there's quite a bit of stuff to look at. I don't have access to my tractor right now but these two links make it look like the bases are the same.

I have a pair of LED bulbs in the headlights of our L3830. They throw a lot more light (but not as much as the floodlights that I mounted just in front of the operator station).
On our B7500, it had bulbs sort of like that (I think), but the round fixtures were all sooty and messy, so I replaced the whole fixture with LED floodlights.

Nice job on the lights. I have LED flood/spot lights on my hard top too but I don't always have it on my tractor. It's too tall to fit through my barn door so it comes off for the winter.

***NEWSFLASH***

I went to my B3000 to pull the existing OEM bulb(s) out to measure them to make sure I didn't order an LED replacement that was too long to fit into the headlight housing.

The bulb(s) that are currently in the B3000 are a #1073. A single contact, bayonet type bulb, 12V 23Watt.

It doesn't have that weird round flange around the bottom of it. It looks like a "normal" bulb that should be more easily replaced than if I had one of the weird motorcycle bulbs.

It also explains why I don't have a high beam and low beam selection on the tractor. It only has one filament.

So I am off to google/search for a LED replacement.

I'll let you know what I find.

That is a picture of pretty much, what I have.

I have done a search for bulb #1073 LED Replacement and gotten some results back.

I believe the LED equivalent of the 1073, is an 1156, but not positive.... yet...….

Now I need to research to see what others have used successfully and if they liked the results.

RJ -- Why didn't you replace your headlights? They appear to be the same as my 2650 (I couldn't find where it specifically calls them "Headlight Bulb"). I just purchased a pair of those bulbs.

They were delivered last night so I have not had a chance to install them on the tractor yet.

Tim, I know it's been a long time, but did those bulbs you ordered work out ok?

Yes. The bulbs fit and work with no problems at all. Be aware that they are only one intensity. No high and low beam. They are much brighter than the OEM bulbs.
