B2650 radiator cap stuck

Trying to check my radiator fluid level and i can't get the radiator cap off!! You turn it it releases but will not come off. I'm scared i could brake off the radiator top since it is only plastic.

Should i just force it, usually they have two tabs that hold it on maybe they are bent in to much.

push down on it, then twist off.....never force
check overflow reservoir as well

Don't force.

They do come off.

One of my vehicles I just change the coolant on has a tough little bugger of a cap.

I do exactly that but it will not come off.

as you firmly push down also twist cap counter clockwise in one action.
place your right palm (if you're rh) on cap, then left hand over right, firmly press down & twist.
get a rhythm going, like doing cpr to the radiator.....best regards

It is cold actually, i did get it off! It's over filled maybe that is why it is hard to get off...more pressure.

doubt it. the overflow reservoir would take care of that.
just that the cap probably not removed very often

glad you got the cap off, there pretty much like your auto.

Just my 2cents, get another cap or have the old tested to make sure it releases at the proper pressure. Cheaper than a new rad
