Now here's a new wrinkle. I gave my dealer the go ahead to order the kit last Saturday and he just responded. He's telling me that because this is a whole goods piece and not a part, it won't be here until April. Has anyone else run into such a long lead time for the kit? Seems like a long time to get something in in this day and age. Not sure if I'm being fed a line of BS or not. Let me know your experiences, thanks.

When I ordered the kit it was in stock in Toronto, so was at the dealer a day or two later.

I ordered my kit thru Messick's a few weeks ago. After not seeing the shipment or hearing any updates, I called yesterday and asked for a status. I received the same message....it's on back order and is not scheduled to arrive/ship until April.

I'm away for work for a couple weeks, but if nobody else does a video or some good pics I'll do my best to put something together when I get back for anybody that's not sure about taking on the task.

Did you use the wiring harness in the kit?

Yup, kit came with a harness that fit properly.

Had a few minutes and some decent weather so I pulled the panels off to get some more pictures for those that asked.

Here's the alternator and you can see the spacer on the lower bolt.

Here you can see the upper bracket, only slightly different than the factory one that came on the tractor.

Here is the wiring going to the positive cable stud on the starter, it has a 50A fuse inline to the alternator.

This is from the right side of the dash panel, the regulator is unplugged and the wiring is passed over to the left side to be plugged into the new harness.

This is the new harness routed up inside the dash panel.

Here you can see the connector that plugs into the harness that was going into the regulator. There's also a relay on the new harness that gets bolted down beside where the connector is, just to the right in this picture.

Sorry to get back to this project so late. I did end up getting the kit in back in April so my dealer was right on for that ETA. I just now had the chance to get it installed. I'm happy to report that this is as easy to install as KyleH described it. The directions aren't all that great but it is pretty much common sense. There are extra parts left over and I needed to use the washer and nut from the lower mounting bolt but it all went in smoothly. The only confusion I had was where the red wire gets connected to. The directions show a bolt with three other wires and there are three different bolts that have wires attached like that picture shows. I looked at Kyle's pictures and went off of that. The irony is that connection looks the least like the picture but it works great. Everything tested great so I am happy with the results. I would definitely recommend this upgrade and can assure you that you can do it. Thanks again to Kyle for his input.

Good to hear you got it installed and working. The red wire you are referring to is the one from the alternator to the starter? If so, it just goes to the starter positive stud which also has a wire coming from the battery.
