Mowing B2650 pining up MMM

Hi all, bought a new B2650 and was wondering if it was normal for the MMM to be hard to pin up out of the way. I have to jack it up into place to install pins. Is this normal??

I had to adjust mine when I got it so that it would be easy to pin up. It was a couple years ago so I dont remember exactly. On one side or the other you can adjust it to make it pin up easily.

IIRC, I tried to "pin up" the MMM once. It was a lot of trouble and really isn't necessary if one sets the height adjuster to the locked up position.

Thank you I will look into it. I am asking because I have the backhoe installed for intermittent use.
