All,
A couple specific questions on the 72" mid mount deck - specifically the RC72-30BB deck.
1. The locking pins that hold the deck up so the 3 point is free - Should the pins have a lot of interference with the frame and bolt behind them? I am finding one side in particular is next to impossible to get the pin out. The angle it has to be in to clear the frame/bolt behind it makes the pin jam in the pin holes. It takes a lot of effort to work the deck around to get it out - and back in. Im not sure that is "normal"?
2. The PTO input gearbox on the deck is filled with gear oil. Is it OK to store the deck on its side with the gearbox 90deg from where it would be normally? The manual does not describe that.
I have ideas for an implement storage rack in our barn, but for the time being space is very much at a preminum so Im grasping at straws for options and its either keep the deck on or lean on its side/back. Or leave outside - and just like the other attachments I hate doing the latter.
