I finally got around to getting some pictures of the new to me B 26 that I purchased from MissingTexas. I put it to work as soon as I got it home, digging up stumps, rocks etc and moving some dirt. This is the first time I have had some photos done of the work, thanks to one of my Grandsons who was visiting. This is some ditching using the 7" bucket to install a few more sprinkler heads on the system to water some outlaying fruit trees and ornamentals that were suffering from the drought. It has been a few months since we had a good rain of more than a few hundredths of an inch.

This is the first time I have used the new system to attach photos. What a PIA and round the world way to get something done. Maybe it takes some getting used to, but I sure liked the simplicity of the old way much better.

HI Gary,

Thanks for the pictures and it must sure beat digging by hand in this heat and dry ground! Nice trench digging too - looks like you have been doing this a long time.

Yes, posting pictures here is sort of a double task now putting them in the directory and then posting them. I suppose the only thing is you can add many photos to the TBN file then select the ones you want to use..

Glad everything worked out and you have the B26

Looks like you sure figured it out in a hurry! So happy that you're getting some seat time and she's getting used!

I took it over to my brother in laws this afternoon and dug out an old fence row full of persimmon stumps and dug up a bunch of tallow tree and elm tree roots that were running along the surface and hitting lawnmower when mowing. Man those roots are tough and entertwined. Sorry no photos of that exercise.
We finally got a bit of rain this afternoon. More rain today than we have had in 4 months combined. This may save a bit of pasture grass and we could sure use about 10 more days of these clouds and showers. An inch or two per day would be nice.

Thanks guys. It looks a lot smaller in the photos than it does when in the seat. I really like the size and maneuverability. It would be nice to have a bit more UMPH when tackling those tree stumps and big roots, but with a bit of patience it gets the job done and just sips fuel when running the back hoe.

Hopefully I got the photos attached from this mornings activities. Working on the tractor sure felt more slanted than the photos show. One outrigger had to be all the way down to level the tractor.

Congratulations Gary.

The B26 is a great machine that packs a lot of power into a small package. You're going to get a lot of work out of it.

Regards,

Lauren

Meant to ask you, how is that snaggletoothed trenching bucket working? Did you decide to mount a tooth in the single hole to drill some new ones for multiple teeth?

Just found this thread again. The 7" bucket has just about all the paint worn off. I have dug up stumps, trenched a couple hundred feet for the sprinkler additions, dug up rocks etc. I just used one tooth in the middle. It works pretty good that way. I also just finished making a holder for the "remote control rod" for moving the tractor while in back hoe mode. I found some 1" square tubing in the shop and welded on a plate to bolt it on using one of the bolts holding the sheet metal on the control tower. So now it sets up front of the back hoe control pedestal to the right when facing the backhoe. Now I can just lift it up and push the hydro pedal with the rod to move the tractor when needed and put it back in the holder rather than throwing it down on the deck, although I am getting pretty good at shoving it forward, back and to the side using the back hoe.
