B2320 MMM height adjustment loose

Hi All, I have a B2320 with 60" MMM. When the dealer delivered about a month ago he went to show me how the deck height adjusts and the knob/rod assembly came off in his hand. So, new parts about 2 weeks later. The adjustor knob seems loose to me. I can wiggle it quite a bit when the 3pt is raised all the way. When I mow it creeps it's way down from 3" to about 2". Guessing because I have a fairly uneven yard and the deck is getting pushed up allowing the height adjustor to wiggle down to 2".
Is the loose feel of the height adjustor normal? Anyone fix it if it is?
I was thinking of adding a shim or something to firm it up but not sure if I'm missing a part or something?

Bought a B2620 with 60" MMM last fall. Same exact problem. Actually there is a thread on here somewhere describing a fix. I called my dealer (Messicks) and they fixed it right away. Mine has been completely solid since. No wiggle, no mower deck drops and no problems whatsoever. Your dealer should be aware of the issue and have a fix.

thanks for the reply. I'll search but I tend to have little luck with that. pages of results and none for the issue. Then I get drawn into those 15 page threads and lost in another topic... A.D.D.

I did ask the service guy when he came out. He was a newbie and I actually put the assembly in myself while he watched. Don't blame him in any way. He did call the service manager and ask if that was normal and the reply was yes. So I'll have to try to find an IPL to see if I'm missing something
