B2320 hst hum!

When tractor is at 1500rpm or more I hear a hum coming from what seems to be the hst.
Is this normal?

I ve got a B2320 .Are you in High, Low or medium ? Mine will hum a little in high particularly I full running speed . Also 1500 rpm sound a little low to me . My engine doesn 't sound right until I get to 1600 when not moving and 1800 or higher when moving .

Just a thought, it sparked an old memory, I recall the pilot control hoses from some old excavators were changed from a wire wound hose to a synthetic braid hose to reduce the resonating frequencies. Maybe something like that is going on?

I haven't found a hydro that doesn't have a hum! Now how loud it is can be an issue and we have played with different oils to silence hydro noise with different tractors and some can be improved. Kubota's are about as quiet as it gets when using the proper fluid and filters.

Mine can hum-m-m- all it wants as long as it keeps working. Does mine hum-m-m? I don't know because my ears hum-m-m all the time anyway (tinnitus).:laughing:
