Thanks again for all of the advice.
Does anyone have any (+/-) feedback about the B21.
Though I have not seen this tractor or know the maint/track record it seems worth looking at.
I was just offered a B21 w/ RT, RMRM, RB, BB, & PHD for 5K. Any suggestions welcome and thanks in advance for your knowledge and time.

IS that like 5K as in $5000.00???
Must be an offer from a REALLY good friend, some one that has no idea the value of what they are selling or a total scam. Of course it may be a REALLY high hour beat up machine but that sounds like a real low price for a B21 and all those attachments.
I have heard the B21 is a darn good little machine for its size. I have a L35 and it amazes me what it can do, as long as you keep its size/weight class in perspective of course.

I agree with Hutch. I briefly considered buying a new B21 in 1995, but money was short and I didn't really need the backhoe so I bought a B7100 instead, but if I'd had a little more money, I'd have bought he B21.:)

Price sounds too good to be true. Momma always told me there's no such thing as a free lunch.

Thanks,
The flyer sent to me doesn't show a BH.
Was this std or optional?
Sill waiting to get the history on this tractor.
Thanks,

Daro, the B21 was a TLB (tractor/loader/backhoe) but of course the backhoe could be removed to use the tractor with other implements. While I can't say for sure, I don't think Kubota sold them without the backhoe.

Thats a good price even without the backhoe. As mentioned, I would be suspicious of that price.

I don't know about the B21, but I believe you can order a B26 w/o the backhoe. While I was researching the B26, I ran across issues with the B21 tranny. Mechanic at local bota dealer said they see "a lot" of B21 tranny overhauls.

I own a B21 and it is a great machine. They are popular in the rental business since the are built to the same level as an industrial tractor. I am sure the reason for transmission problems is the rough use in the rental business.

I have operated a lot of backhoes over the years and I can tell you the little B21 is a fine machine and compares with the best, but on a smaller scale.

I used mine to excavate a pad for a new home, a large workshop, a guest house, put in a septic system, water system bury my power lines, and dig a pond. I also run a 5' tiller. I use it like a fork lift with a set of forks. It is easy on fuel and has adequate power for everything. Actually I would like a bit more on the backhoe, but I tend to really work it like a big Cat, or try to. I put about 300 hours on it last year.

The fact that it does not have a back hoe, suggests that it was swapped off and sold with the 3 point hitch. The backhoe connections should still be in place since they are built into the frame. I would venture to say it could be added.

They usually hold value well.

I read a couple of threads about a tranny rebuild. I could do it but dedicating the time would have to be justified and its a a lot of work I don't need at this moment. The B21 does appear to be a very stout tractor for its size and HP and is perfect for my needs.
Your feed back continues to help and is greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Around here used B21's with low hours go for 18-20K with a backhoe. They do look like pretty stout machines! Most of the ones I've seen for sale around here are from dealerships that have had them in the rental fleet. I have a friend who has had one for years, and he has done a remarkable job on his property with it. Of course, he is the kind of guy that does a remarkable job restoring antique cars too. :)
