When I first got my B1550, I used the 60" bush hog from my old Farmall 200. It sort of worked ok, but I had to limit my pasture mowing to only partial swaths even when it was freshly sharpened. I subsequently purchased a 48" King Kutter rotary mower, and the ol' B1550 handles it well in second gear under almost all pasture conditions. However, I still have to limit my mowing to partial swaths or slow to first gear in the lush, tall, grass above the septic system drain field.
