This is what the problem is.. "Avoid Cumming GA Dealership - At all costs"...

We all get frustrated from time to time but if we all take the time to calm down most people are reasonably and will take care of things. Sounds to me like they ate some of you're problems..

You traded the tractor in because you didn't trust the repair work that was done? That just makes no sense..

Atash - So why does that make no sense...
the tractor was at the dealership for repairs 3 times
the tractor when returned was still not fixed

There is a vote of no confidence int eh repairs at this point.
And what do you mean they "ATE" the problems.... they were supported repairs by Branson - as I recall warranty repairs as funded by Branson - so what did they exactly eat?

My very first email to Rich stated... "you have no skin in this game and No is an answer as well"
The dealership asked Branson, and Branson accepted the repair - I was a very happy customer... 2 injector pumps later ....

Atash - you make it sound like I am completely in the wrong and that I am to accept 3 trips to the dealership to get a working tractor back... well more than 3 as it was not really fixed when I got it home.
I traded it at expense to myself because I was not willing to have another injector pump go out.... no warranty, that part is between $1800- $2200 depending on dealership. I wanted a warranty, and I wanted a tractor that worked like it was designed to. If I had not taken my tractor in for repairs - I would still have the 3520H with a broken fuel gauge **perhaps I should never have asked the dealership if they could repair it***
From your perspective Atsah - I am at fault for even asking if they could repair it... I guess your right - I should never have tried to get it fixed, should have just lived with it, and then this post would never have been created.... Hind Sight is 20/20.

I stated that I was done with this mess but I do want to point out a couple of quick things to the customer. We did have skin in the game!! Branson paid for the parts. WE ate all of the labor. That was the deal I set with them to get this work done in the first place. Secondly, I never stated that you didn't pay for the fuel tank cleaning or lift pump. I stated that we, meaning me and Branson covered the cost of the fuel pumps. You have your new tractor. You have a new dealer. Great!! end of story.

LOL, reminds me of a client when I had an aviation business.

Now he was CEO of a major hospital and drove a Jaguar but his aircraft was a 25 year old Beachcraft.
He wanted an annual inspection but at a dirt cheap price and promised to send me all his friends.

His tires were scary bald (cords showing) which was the first thing I spotted but he ranted and raved when I told him the cost.

Well I told him to go somewhere else and actually said that if all his friends were as cheap as him to please don't send them to me.

I'll also add that he was what you'd call a PIA client as everything was at last minute rush with usually a cancelled flight plus he'd take months to remit payement and usually complain and browbeat to lower the bill.
(must add his reputation was well known)

There are simply some folks that don't deserve to be 'clients'.

To remember the 80/20 rules.
80% of complaints/problems come from 20% of the client base.
Trick is to carefully determine and avoid that 20%.

I ran a good business and enjoyed a great client base and built up my business to the point that I was the largest in the client base in eastern Canada.
(Our industry association also elected me as a regional director.)
Always tried to be fair and swallowed mistakes that we had occasionally occur.
That is what service is all about.

I just told one such customer that maybe HE would be happier (after all, it's all about him) if he went elsewhere. He changed his tune immediately, but only for a while. He finally downsized and I lost him as a customer, Thank God!

Some of the best deals are the ones you don稚 make.
Wise advise !
A good business man knows when to say NO..

When you stuggle for business, it's hard to turn someone down. There are days, like last week, where it would have been financially better if I had said NO THANKS, to a customer and said, I would send them a five hundred dollar cheque, just to be nice, and STAYED in BED!

By the way, during the process of finding the rust in his tank, we asked him how he usually fueled his tractor and his answer was he used METAL fueling cans but continued to blame us for the rust in the tank.

So OP you say you never owned metal fuel cans, is this true or is he lying is this post?

I'm more surprised, the fuel filter should've plugged up so no fuel got by into the injector pump. And how does rust get in a plastic tank, water in fuel maybe.......... Another reason to use this>>>> Diesel Kleen +Cetane Boost - Power Service

Rust or debris looking like rust?
I have two WWII Jerry Cans and they are coated and have still up amazingly well.

Now my two plastic cans do a better job of revealing small particles of dark debris. I have to take a mechanical claw with a blue paper shop towel to clean up that debris. So rust may be in this case a generic term used to identify debris picked up from the in ground tanks.

Anyways, interesting thread painful to read.
