Thats a fair question. Kubota really does not sink money into the seat on many of their tractors. Its defentialy a product worthy of a nice seat!

$750! You must have called a parts counter. The markup (From a dealer & Kubota) is much higher over the parts counter than it is though the wholegoods Dept. MSRP on that seat from wholegoods is $360. You'd probably have to be charged the UPS fee's as well.
Where in the wholegoods pricebook did you that price?
Thanks
Bill

It's a tough balance between offering the best of everything and keeping the price reasonable.

I shimmed the front six bolt of the seat suspension. That brought the front of the seat up 1-1/2", leveled the seat right out for me & made it more comfortable. Cheaper than buying a $300.00 seat and didn't have to mess with any wiring for the safety switches under the seat. Took 15 minutes to fix

Kioti has upgraded their standard seats on the CK20/CK25/CK30 to a suspension seat. I imagine it is about the same as the on Neil is talking about as a retrofit seat costs about $650.

My CK20 is pre2005 so has the old style seat. Sure would like to upgrade but $650 is almost as tough to swallow as $750.

Here is a picture of the seat shimmed, gained close 1-1/2" on the front end. I just used some nuts I had laying around that were bigger than the stud bolts already on the seat frame. I slipped them over the stud bolts that Kubota uses for the frame.
#1 you need four bolts over the studs
#2 you need two bolts on the front adjusting rail
#3 you need two bolts on the front of the seat frame mount
If I had some metal and a band saw I would of made a wedge out of the metal and mounted it under the seat frame in #3 from front to back.
Pull the seat off with the front pin removed, easier to work on

Thanks for the photos, im going to try the shimming before i shell out hundreds of dollars for a new seat.

The way it's shimmed now is temporary. When I get some time I'm going to make two metal wedges and install them under the seat frame. It will be more professional looking and I can cut the wedge to the seat height I want.
