- Former Owner PowerTrac 425 (September 2003)
For the past 2 years I have been reading the posts on the PowerTrac thread. Enlightenment is hardly the correct word as my passion for a PT has gone from interest to must have. Finally, I am getting close to making the purchase of my new 425.
For some months now, I have been thinking over my attachment needs. In all but a few cases the attachments that I will purchase can be used for years to come. Those few items that are needed at the beginning of the project and will not be needed after can be sold.
This brings up the reason for this thread.
Attachments purchased can only be used on PT machines. The power of resale seems to me to be here at TBN. On the other hand if we tried some kind of exchange program for the attachments such as box blade that are needed usually on one project then just sit. In my case, I have need of a box blade for about two months and then it would just sit. I’m sure there are other attachments that will sit after the first year that could also be exchanged or sold.
I don’t know if this would be practical or not but might be worth exploring.
Just trying to cut down on overall costs.
