Are there enough used CUTs out there?

How different the tractor landscape and this site would be if all this stuff had to paid for in CASH! So money that was carefully saved and put away. Not making a judgment (this time), but just saying. So it would be, does Nathan go to College, or do we buy that BX? lol

Same could be said for everything. Home prices, car and truck prices, college tuition... Going into dept has enabled so many people to buy stuff with credit they otherwise couldn't afford that it screws with the whole idea of supply and demand keeping prices in check. But this is the world we live in, so onward we go and as long as we can afford the monthly payments, it's all good :)

My Dad still applauds that I have no dept. But, if the crap hits the fan (which it will) and people just have to give back their stuff, who is the real fool? The guy who never had much because he never saved up the money to buy "stuff" , or when he did, decided against the purchase. Or the people that got all this use out of stuff they didn't own?

Saw some people today. Probably half a million dollar motor home, like a commercial highway coach, radomes on the roof, probably for satalite internet, probably 90 grand Ford truck, new toolcat. Curious what their house looks like. They MAY not own any of it! Yet they are enjoying all of it.

This website is proof that a very large percentage of CUT/SCUT tractors are bought out of lust not need.

Very true! I am very blessed that I am able to purchase for myself some lust items. My wife and I worked hard, raised 3 children, saw that their needs and wants were met, including good educations.

My philosophy on it selling in two days, and 20 calls: You sold too cheap!

we didn't want to ask more than we paid for it, and its no sales tax when we bought it and when we sold it. Buyers like that savings over going to a dealer on a new one.

That fairly accurately describes me. I didn't need acreage, I wanted it. I could have hired out the tractor work, but I wanted a tractor. Ever since I was a young boy, I have admired farmers and wanted to be one. So now I am fulfilling that lifelong dream.

My paternal grandparents had a 40 acre farm just outside of Springfield, MO. They grew all their own vegetables, had beef cattle, a milk cow, put up hay each year and able to sell the surplus. Home made ice cream with cream from a jersey is indescribably delicious. Home churned butter, home made cottage cheese...such delights.
I was part of the hay crew as well as other chores. Grew up aboard grandpa's 8N Ford. From as far back as my memory takes me my first choice has been to live out in the country side. We have been on this land for over 43 years, very blessed.

If you sold it for the amount you wanted, you didn't sell it too cheap. You sold it just right.

Yep. Perfect scenario. Everyone on here should be so lucky. Very happy for you. :)

I live 20mins from the border and frequent canada a lot. The only way this really works is on used and or if its brought across the border. What Ive found is stuff in canada cost more even after you factor in exchange rates also have to deal with taxes. What are selling like hot cakes though is used cars, didnt know this but canadians lease for like one year and turn them in because of taxes or whatever. Either way you can get 1 year old trucks with 10k miles on it or less that was 55-60k for 35ish

Nope. Not for tractors. Look them up on Kijiji.
