I recently had a 2018 4225H delivered with the WR.Long 3rd function kit installed. The dealer, for some reason, decided to mount the valve onto the the upright of the the loader arms, thus making it so I can't remove the loader. Anyone have one these mounted in a better location and can provide a picture? Thanks

There's not a lot of good spaces for the valve. The factory diverter setup mounts the valve on the loader's torque tube. It looks like a typical two ended solenoid valve might fit under the floorboards on an H model (take off the angled blockoff plate for the shifter to see the space I'm talking about). That'd hide the valve but you'd still need an extra set of quick connects at the loader.

If you're ok with where the valve is mounted just add quick connects.

There are quick connects on the top of the valve. I looked at moving the quick connects to the bottom of the valve, but it looks like it would take some adaptors. Just trying to find the easiest way to solve the problem the dealer left me.

Post a pic?

If they bothered to put QCs on they ought to be in the right place.

Wow. That doesn't look like a very smart install from the dealer. Why would they even put the valve there? Just to be hit by pretty much everything.

I believe you will have the tractor sent back to the dealer due to the weird smoking issue, right? I would make them fix that properly.

Dealer is picking it up tomorrow due to the smoking issue. I have asked them to address this as well.

Mine was attached in the same location, but it was attached with a bracket from the other side that’s attached with existing hardware at the deck/floor level. Your installation was shameful & I’m nervous for you to have them do it right.

The last two shows the horizontal portion of the bracket behind the fuel carrier I fabricated. Normally, it’s where the step is mounted. It looks like it’s a factory part that’s supplied with the 3rd function kit, I’m not sure.

Aquamoose did the dealer install that? The pics my dealer sent me of the factory item were totally different- a diverter with the valve mounted on the loader's torque tube. I did not like the hose routing but it did have a nice replacement for the joystick handle that's the same shape as the factory item but with the added switch. Nice brackets you made.

The dealer installed the 3rd function valve. The only mod I did was to improve the coupling points up front by fabricating a different bracket. The rest was done by them and it has a factory finish look to it so I’m assuming that it was a factory option.

The bracket I made that took its place of the step is the one I made for the 1 1/4 gal mix fuel can. That was sandwiched on top of the diverted bracket with longer bolts.

I'm probably a little late to the party here but I ordered my own from JR Long. With the changing of the tractor thru the years the only mount that worked for me was their 'cab' mount. This bolted to the grey frame of the tractor which put the valves between the front loader frame and the engine. Made it so it was easy to take the hoses off the quick disconnects and not be in the way of the loader quick disconnects.... I'll try and get a picture in here later in the week.
