Anyone use EdgeTamers to push snow with their FEL ?? Question on size

Ok I have a XJ2025H...I ordered the 4" wide but wonder IF I should have ordered the 3"......

I had a hard time deciding myself, and ended up going with the 3" version to save a few bucks. Now that I've used them, I can't see it makes much difference, unless you've got a large bucket filled with very wet snow, and were pushing over a thawed lawn where you might create tracks. No reason to look back on your decision, imo.

I bought the 3" for my 50" bucket and they worked as advertised. BUT - they raise the bucket about 1/2 inch so you leave that much snow behind on every pass. This is just how they work on a paved asphalt driveway. It's a very nice product and well made and definitely worth the money from that standpoint. But if you need a clean pass so you don't end up with packed snow that turns into ice on an asphalt of concrete surface this may not be for you.

The 'tamers' are great for gravel drives but not really intended for paved surfaces.
Problem is folks are afraid of scratching the paved or fancy pavers so they use the edge tamers.

For pavers and paved surfaces what you need is a plastic or HDPE cutting edge on your bucked or plow blade. and that way you won't leave that inch or so snow.
