Anybody see Gator Versus Python??

There was a picture in our paper about the 13' Python that was eating a 6' Gator. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Apparently the gator wasn't completely dead and was "bursting" through the snakes skin!!

Both were found dead, and the snake was headless!! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I'm sure there has to be a story about it on the web.

After I posted, I did a search for gator python and had quite a few pop up.

I just found the article very interesting.

The story I read says this is not uncommon, pythons eating gators and vv. Evidently this gator almost clawed his way out before he was suffocated. People have the pythons as pets and turn them loose when they get too big. A big python snacks on small to mid sized gators, big gators snack on small to mid sized pythons.

That story was all over the news up here and I have seen it quite a few times on the internet too. The thing that puzzles me is how the snake's head disappeared. Makes me wonder if there wasn't another gator involved somehow - the gator that the snake swallowed must have made it pretty sluggish, meaning it would be easy pickin's for another gator to come along and start attacking the snake.
