Our pulls run in two lanes w/ only one active at any given time so the action is nonstop.

Now that I like to see.)

Here in WA for the pulls I attend the rules are roughly like this:
classic: '61 to around '76
antique: '60 and older
...

Didn't you post a thread with some pics a few days ago? Man, that was a good looking group of tractors. I would love to attend an event like that.

Its awesome for sure! Even w/ 2 lanes going it takes 3+ hrs to get it all done and there usually arent any reruns.

That would be me. Im glad you enjoyed 'em! I love it when pics get posted of things like this esp machines that are working. What I posted is only a small part of what I took that day. In the end I wound up w/ 100+ keepers. My screen saver slideshow is getting pretty good. :D

Hey Farm,
How about the 2500 lb class, there are some real good pullin Super A tractors out there that can dominate that class :)

Amen to the Farm Class, bring it in from the field !!!:D

Go to have a good time and socialize with people that have a common interest !!! I mean what the heck you gonna do with a bunch of ribbons anyway :)

Oh yeah, Im with you on runnin one tractor in one class !!!

Forgot about the little guys! Back when we still had our 4H pull, there weren't too many smaller sleds around. My uncle tried to pull his '57 Cub one year. He just barely got the slack out of the chain. The sled never budged.

Times were simpler back then. Sure do miss them.

I'm having lunch with a rep from our local vol. fire dept. tomorrow. Planning on trying to sell him on the idea of having an old fashioned "harvest festival", along with antique farm equipment show, tractor pull, and swap meet. Nothing big, nothing earth shattering, just a bunch of locals getting together and showing the youngsters how we used to do things. Too late for this year, but maybe NEXT fall! Wish me luck!

Well, I wasn't told NO.... My idea didn't get a rousing round of applause, but was taken to the Fire Dept's Board of Directors. I was promised "my day" in front of them to sell my idea. They're looking for something to center a fall festival around as a fundraiser. I told him that he needed to consider how much money these "tractor nuts" spend willingly on their hobby/passion. If even a small percentage ended up in the Fire Dept's hands, they'd make out like bandits.

MONEY has a way of getting attention.

I'll let you know how the next round goes.

Also more profits for the consession booths while waiting ones turn to pull.

Maybe some half time displays...slow race & barrel race etc.

May the board listen..the best to you.

Hope they go for your idea. I bet it would be a big hit.
