Another Yanmar identification request

I like the grille too. I wouldn't cut holes in it for the headlights. That expanded metal will block only a tiny percentage of light. Not a problem.

(I replaced two bashed headlights when I bought the YM240, so protection seems more important than that last .01% of light).

Aaron (hoye) once wrote that when he was first starting out, he would make molds to pour his own replica plastic grilles - or something like that.

I have repaired a few of those F series grilles with fiberglass and have made a couple out of sheet metal but it took too much time and didn't really turn out good enough to ever sell.

I did contact a few custom fiberglass places a few weeks ago about getting some of those grilles made again. The best price (my cost) was around $700ea plus a many-thousand dollar mold fee. The injection molded plastic option was cheaper per piece but the mold was well into the 5 figures. I'm still kicking around a custom metal version but have not worked out the details. That is a fairly complicated piece.

Are the grills for the 3110 reproduction or oe ?
If they are reproduction, was the cost the same for the 3110 to be reproduced as would be for the F series?
