Last one, i promise. Would of put it under my last post, but proably it would of never got read.. Now i have noticed since getting my oiless i have started using it more than big one. For the quick stuff i just use it. Like air ratcheting a few bolts, or some dust blowing. Works as good, takes less time to pump up a eleven gallon tank, and it saves wear and tear on my big compressor.. I never let the oiless get too hot. I check to make sure the head isn't geting too hot to touch and if it is i use the big one.. Does any one else do this?? Is my plan theisable??? Any comments welcome..

Unless yours is different from any I've seen, the parts that you would have to worry about overheating are under a plastic cowling and you can't touch them. However, there's certainly nothing wrong with what you're doing.

hey bird, on mine the shroud covers the fan, and part of the sides. I can fell the head and one side of the cylinder.. The motor is completly exposed..

OK, I'm accustomed to a shroud that covers motor, fan, and all. So if it doesn't get hot, it should last a long time.
