The paint can said "Barn Red". It looks more orange so now I have to get a paint chip from the color of the gear and have some mixed up. I will still paint at least the inside of the side rails with the orangish barn color and re-cover with the mixed. Here are a couple pictures.

Was the color possibly faded barn red? Looks like it has been weathered for a few years with that paint.

I have had great luck buying IH Red from tractor dealers. It's just the right color red, sprays great on metal and brushes great on all else. Price not bad.

Bought an old, wooden axle wagon that someone did a poor job of restore. Here is a pic of the frame attachment, does anyone know what the rings on here are for? IMG_20130702_174516.jpgIMG_20130702_174552.jpg

Love the work you did on this trailer! I am working on one right now and am inspired by your work. I was wondering: why didn't you have the aluminum flashing go to the end of the boards, it looks as though they stop a few inches short. Was there a reason behind that? Also, how much life do you think the flashing will add?
Thanks for posting!
