Well, he didn't take me up on my offer...

Seemed offended at how low it was, in fact. I can relate to that.... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

No one should get offended at any offer. In fact, if they give you no starting point, you should offer one dollar! That always works on The Price Is Right. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

But seriously, they should give you a starting point and not be offended if you offer less.

When I sell something, I do it two ways. One way is to say $100.00 firm. No haggling if I know what it is worth to me. The other way is to come up with a minimum price I will take, then add TONS of money to the asking price. Then I have some negotiating room and the buyer is happy that they didn't pay the asking price.

Sorry to offend you Kent. Just my estimate of what it is worth.

Oh, I'm not personally offended.

It's just that if I'm looking to buy something used, the seller wants 80% of the price of new -- yet if I'm looking to sell something used, the buy wants to pay 40% of something new....

It just seems that there should be some "fair market value" somewhere in between...

I personally can't stand "horse trading" and dickering....

It is so hard to find a fair price on this stuff. You can't even see the actual product until you have agreed on the price.

I don't mind dickering, I do mind offending people,
especially my friends at this site and other friends.

Take care and good luck on finding the attachments that you need.

Me neither, but I'm getting use to it. It is an unfortunate necessity. The key is to not take anything personally... it is just business. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
