Another dang skunk !!!!

Strange as it may seem, I had a friend (RIP) many years ago, and he could not smell the skunk smell. I though he was BS'n me, but found out that about 1 person in 1000 cannot smell a skunk.

Yep, I too worked with a guy that said he can't smell skunk.:laughing:

I have a black mouth cur dog and he's been hit by a skunk 5 times. He'll never learn. I smelt a skunk again last night near the barn, so I know spray number 6 is just around the corner. We have the remedy down to a science. Dawn dish detergent, hydrogen peroxide and baking soda.

RSKY - there is something around your place or the neighborhood that the skunks are eating. Contain that food source and you will reduce your skunks.

We use to have a bad skunk problem when my Wife's grandmother was still alive. We could not break her of feeding the outdoor cats by just pouring a pile of food on the back deck. After she passed, and no one was throwing cat food around anymore, the problem went away. We'll still occasionally get one in one of the old groundhog burrows under the barn, but they don't stay long. We, too, used to kill three or four a year. I haven't shot one since 2016.
