another 1300 tiller question

Like I said in the other post, I have a 1300 tiller, but I'll be using it on an Iseki 1910. I did a search and seen some pics with the tiller on Yanmars and notice it attaches real close to the rear wheels.

Mine hits the wheels because the lower bars seem to be too short. I'm thinking of just making them longer but need to know how much clearance the tiller should be from the rear wheels.

I would be comfortable with about 6" but wanted some input.

6" will be more than enough. On my tractor in the up position the clearence is ~4" and in the dn position ~3.5".

Not sure what kind of upper link you intend to use but the stock upper link for these tillers on a Yanmar tractor has them rotate so they follow the curvature of the rear tire fairly closely. A typ upper link would have the impliment lift and fall more closely straight up and down.

Make sure aft the extension the pto shaft has plenty of overlap in the splined slip joint.
