Cued to start at the fun part. Watch for the next minute where things go south. He's lucky.

It started from the start. What part is the fun part?

this is worth watching. First he fixes the winch on his dozer and then uses it to pull an old Subaru Outback literally in half, at the end.
actually quite entertaining.
Nice 5k video, my new monitor supports it and his stuff when focused right on is really good to look at. That drone he uses must be high end for 5k; just glad
he uses it. His stuff defaults to a lower setting but if you have a good monitor, you can go into the menu and pick the highest available. The difference between 1080 and 4k is huge, not sure what 5k does. Probably requires 5G to stream it.

it was nice to see him working on big old equipment again, and taking his time to do it right.

So that winch was fully hydraulic? he said some stuff in a previous video that confused me or I misheard him.

I believe he said the winch was PTO driven and the brake and whatever the other control was, is hydraulic.

The pto drives the hydraulic pump. The pump powers the winch. The pto has a forward, neutral and reverse to change the direction on the cable and allows a neutral position.

The hysters I believe the gearing is on the hydro side.

The video is worth watching in its entirety if you're a gearhead.

Yeah I was curious because I thought he said mechanical with hydraulic controls or something.

Could be, there might be just an on or off on the pto, but I saw no controls on the hydraulic side. I
watched the whole video. Never worked on a Hyster or a Cat, my experience has been with Komatsu,Dresser,Fiat- Allis and a couple others. Have a good one!
