Well, the package did get delivered today, a day later than they claimed. Not sure about the tracking number that said it got delivered yesterday to a different zip code. Today when I ran the tracking number I got no result. Anyway, it's here and I didn't lose this package.

I just like to think of it from this perspective - I ordered something from a website - it comes from hundreds of miles away, sometimes more, and in a week or two it shows up at my house or in my town - and then I complain when it takes an extra day. In reality, this is kind of a First-World problem...but it's a big deal to me, because it's still my problem!

Good luck and take care.
Good attitude. Last year I ordered an A/C valve for my VW. About a $75 part coming from FORT LAUDERDALE to Fulton, Ms. Heres the saga
Ordered it from Polar Bear Saturday, was told the order would be fulfilled Tuesday and she thought it might get to me in Mississippi Thursday, but Friday at the latest, via USPS. Very pleasant people. Got a call back Tuesday, they wanted to make sure we needed the snap ring type.
Yup, painless

And then the first problem area - USPS
Rec'd email from Polar Bear sent 08:43 Sept 2 confirming purchase
Rec'd email from USPS saying package was going to ship and I should check the address. Yup address correct.
Package picked up at FORT LAUDERDALE, FL Post office, Sept 2
It went from there to OPA LOCKA, FL on Sept. 3rd.
It went from there to CHATTANOOGA, TN on Sept. 4th.
It went from there to ALLEN PARK, MI on Sept. 5th and was "out for delivery", which is about 700 miles from my house.
At which point I started sending heated emails to the Post Office and told our son to try for another weekend.
It got BACK to Memphis and to Fulton, MS and I finally got it Monday (Sep 8th) afternoon.
So, lesson reinforced - don't trust the Post office.

What has really gotten me mad a few times is when the dip#### driver claims to have delivered it and left it with the secretary. AT MY HOUSE when nobody was home.

Today I got a package from Amazon, delivered by UPS in an unsealed box. So tonight I called UPS and told them I refused delivery, come pick it up. They gave me the run around, but finally someone said they would send a truck tomorrow to pick it up. I am so fed up with package deliveries this year.

oh, and the package that USPS said they delivered a week ago, that never came..., well it was delivered yesterday, a week later, after I had already got a replacement shipped from amazon.

I am overall very happy with UPS, FEDEX, and Amazon Prime. Still a bit in awe that one can get about anything in the world delivered to your door and pretty fast while not having to move off the recliner. I wish the government would get out of the business. USPS would be gone if I were King.

Oh the frustrations. Try living in Hawaii for shipping.
Really dislike Smartpost and have cancelled purchases where seller said it was only option. Can they didn't understand no sale was an option. Used to be the tracking # would show great FedEx progress from seller to Honolulu PO, then item would be held in purgatory for some mysterious period of time before moving on to my local PO. I figure they couldn't have Smartpost show up faster than regular USPS.

UPS could be frustrating if shipped either ground or regular as it would track to Honolulu quickly but not leave Honolulu until promised delivery. I complained a few times to my BIL before he rotors from UPS management, and he'd vehemently deny that could happen.- until I started saving the tracking notices and gave to him.
Not just Amazon either. Daughter got me a birthday present from the NFL store. Still didn't have it after 21/2 weeks. She called, was told it somehow went to Pa not Hi. Had it FedEx 2 days later.
What's more fun is the idiots that can't ship to Hawaii, being it's a foreign country.

We have not had any problems with USPS deliveries from Amazon. Knock on wood. But we also have good postal workers.

I can't call it a problem, but I placed an order from Amazon last week, and it was to be delivered by USPS on Saturday. USPS could not leave the box in the mailbox and they did not leave at the gate which is what almost always happens so we had to pick up at the post office on Monday. Usually, I would not care, but I wanted to take the order into work yesterday. Hardly a fail by the USPS. I thought about opening the gate but figured the order when fit in the mail box. :confused3:

Now lets talk Walmart. :shocked::confused3::laughing::laughing::laughing:

We ordered a couch, yes a couch, from Walmart and had it delivered to the store so we could pick it up. Surprisingly, FedEx transports the couch to WallyWorld so we can watch the couch travel across the US. Couch arrived in Wally Land but the Wallmartians have no record of the couch.:mad::mad::mad: How do you misplace a couch? Did the couch walk out the door by itself?

We reorder and get our money back from the couch that disappeared. The second couch should be delivered to day. It will be interesting to see if this couch disappears. We and friends have had problems with orders disappearing from this Walmart. It is hard to believe that they have these kind of problems.

Later,
Dan

My brother works for USPS. He has showed me pictures of how they receive trucks of Amazon materials hardly shrink wrapped and falling off pallets all over inside the trucks. Think Jenga. The USPS then has to try to re-sort everything and figure it from there.

Not saying USPS is great, but Amazon is also less than perfect.
