Buying Advice Am I doing right?

I'm about to make a new purchase from the dealer,

Cub Cadet LT1042 20hp w/ 42" deck $1679.00
Bagger unit $329.00
A 5x8' trailer to haul it on $590.00
Plus 6% Tax
Total $2753.88

I'm getting it as a package deal for $2500.00

Does this sound good?

If the individual piece prices you quoted already are somewhat discounted from "list" prices, you are probably doing OK.

Another check (if you want to take the time) would be to get a quote on an equivalent setup from another dealer.

This outfit is in the lower end of the price range for any kind of "tractor." If you believe it will do the job you need of it, and you are satisfied with the price, then you've done fine.
