Alamo Flail Mower Help

Hello Group,

I just bought a used Alamo Flail mower 72 fine cut it's been sitting over 5 years the pto shaft is rusted i am been trying to get the pto shaft off i noticed the gear box is leaking so my question is how do i get the slip clutch off there is a bolt going in it i took the nut off i am not able to get that bolt to move either way my thought is the threaded side needs to go threw the shaft is that correct? any advice..

ok i got the shear pin out but still cant get the shaft off of the gear box i used prybars hammers ,2 tractors pulling still nothing. any advice? its a slip clutch on the gear box.

Did you try liberally soaking with penetrating oil?

Hello Superduper I Got it !!! I did use some wd40 but didn't have much yesterday today i got the PB Blaster and Wow i am a believer in it. i didn't know if Alamo has a different way of talking them off.. The slip clutch is a lot heaver than i thought lol
