Aftermarket diverter vs. factory quick attach control valve?

I positioned the valve so I could reuse 2 of the original hoses and had the other 4 hoses made locally. Install the quick connects in the best position on the loader arms as you will use them the most. I don't think I have since disconnected the quick change attachment hoses. But you still have that option for a manual 4th valve.
My rotating log grapple has its own 4th valve mounted on the grapple frame switched electrically (most attachments seem to go this route when an additional circuit is needed [my stump grinder also came that way]).

Is it worth it... hmmm. Well for me it was. I guess it depends on whether you will use the functionality it gives. I installed myself a WR Long kit for my tractor. Took me about 3-4 hours taking my time as I am not a mechanic, more of a part time piddler... :)

I really wanted/needed a grapple. That was my main driving point. I didn't know if an option to do it elsewise. If you can do that in another method/option it may be worth checking out.

Has turned cold here so am using the cold as a pretense for procrastinating.

I got tired of having my knee in the valve of my 425 so I replaced it with a loader valve w power beyond + a 3 spool valve. Now I have loader on a two spools at an appropriate height; QA, grapple and my 3pt lift cylinder on the three spool. I can use one hand for the loader and grapple.

I've got 3 summit dv50h-08s diverters in a box next to me for adding circuits to an excavator. They're great.

If you want to control (not just select) a cylinder w joystick buttons you'll need a solenoid actuator, pressurized flow and a tank path... otherwise you're using the same input to control the flow you diverted.

Diverter shifts flow but you use the same lever to control the new function, buttons for the diverter, lever motion to actuate.
