Advice Needed

PRETTY MUCH being key. I wouldn't even consider putting on something without a cab and lexan windshield. It's not everyday, but large chunks of wood, metal T-post, rocks, etc will fly out the front, hit a tree, and come right back at you. You may go a long time and it not happen, but it only takes once.

Boy, you aren't kidding. I had a good size chunk of wood ricochet off a neighboring tree as I was turning. It hit the mesh on my side window hard enough to pop the window out of its track. That could of been my head.

I didn't think about debris bouncing off of something and coming back at you. I also don't know what my flow rate is on my backhoe. I just like the idea of being able to put a mower onto the front loader and grinding up what's out there. Probably never going to happen, but it is something I think about.

From what little I've learned about these skid steer brush mowers, I'd be really surprised if your backhoe had enough flow to operate one effectively. I had the same idea about putting something on the front end loader of my tractor, but after reading on this board, I decided I needed to just bite the bullet and get a skid steer. I'm very glad I did, and if it ever quits raining, I'm going back to work with mine.

Never had a problem with anything coming out from under this out front brush hog.

Sure do like it better than the 3 point that I used to have on the MF240D. :D

That's very impressive. Does the Bobcat have AC in it? I bet you don't even feel beat up after a day out mowing with something like that!!!

Yes on the Air Conditioner and a heater also.

The ride is much better than a skid steer and my wife uses that mower on her Toolcat now, so I feel great after her day of mowing!

Yep, it has a SSQA, so it does everything that I need done on our 80 acres.

Like pulling a 24' cedar tree with the tree puller.

Xfaxman

Do you know or know of Howard Wolff in Cushing, OK that builds tree shears? His company is Wolff Manufacturing, and here's his website.
Hyd Tree Shears for 3-point, Front End Loader, and Skidsteer
Yes, thanks. He is 30 miles from me. I talked to him about fixing the shear after it broke.

Too reach under cedar trees, this is what I was going to get: "Commercial" Skid Steer Mount - Precision Manufacturing
